Merty and Frank Culligan founded County Boutique in 1966, driven by a passion for beautiful fabrics and distinctive fashion. They were among the first buyers to bring international designs home to Ireland.
Celebrating five decades of design
Since our first store opened in 1966, County Boutique has enjoyed over 50 years of helping Irish women look and feel their best with beautifully made clothing. We’re renowned for celebrating Irish Designers like Aideen Bodkin and Caroline Kilkenny along with showcasing designers from further afield.
As our reputation grew, we quickly became one of the leading boutiques in the west of Ireland with visitors from all Ireland, UK, and the US selecting unique designer pieces.
In 1995, sisters Gwen and Maeve joined the family business, with an inherited love for beautiful clothing. It’s also the year we tripled in size to over 1,500 sq.ft., showcasing pieces over 2 floors in a modern, sleek environment.
We’ve now been operating for more than half a century and since 1966 have expanded to a second store in Nenagh and have grown to a team of 13 wonderful staff and styling experts.
